Our Communities

The Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation consists of eight communities located throughout Northeastern Saskatchewan.

The Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation has a population of over 11,000 members which over 70% still reside in one of the eight separate, distinct communities.

Our communities and Reserves include Kinoosao, Southend, Deschambault Lake, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, Denare Beach, Sturgeon Landing and Prince Albert.

Our communities are located in the geographic Northeastern side of Saskatchewan from the north end of Reindeer Lake (Kinoosao) to as far south as Prince Albert and east to Sturgeon Landing near the SK-MB border.

We have a number of Commercial Urban Reserves within city limits as well as others in the surrounding municipality.

We are one of the three Woodland Cree groups in Northern Saskatchewan.

We are one of the multi-community First Nations in the Province of Saskatchewan.

The traditional territory of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation encompasses over 20,000 square miles.

PBCN has 1 Chief and 14 Councillors who represent the communities in all matters.
