Prince Albert Casino Ventures L.P. (PACV) is the developer and owner of the Northern Lights Casino building and property in Prince Albert, SK. The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) fully leases the 46,000 square foot building to house their gaming operations. PACV also developed and owns the adjacent seven acres of land that SIGA leases for parking. This has enabled SIGA to provide parking for hundreds of single passenger vehicles with some sites designated specifically for recreational vehicles and buses. This property has become a major stopping point and attraction for Northern Saskatchewan, Prince Albert and the surrounding area. The property is located at 44 Marquis Road, on the south side of Prince Albert just off Highway# 2 coming into the city. This development is a great example of what can happen when you have two parties that are committed to working together in order to create employment and contribute to the local and provincial economy.
The site is also one of PBCN’s Urban Reserves that has contributed immensely to the economy of Prince Albert both in terms of direct and spinoff jobs as well as Tax Loss Compensation Fees paid to the municipal taxing authorities.
